Microsimulation
Use of advanced software (VISSIM) to simulate individual vehicle and pedestrian behavior, allowing validation of complex solutions.
What is Microsimulation?
Microsimulation allows replication of individual vehicle and pedestrian behavior in a virtual environment, testing solutions before implementation. It is an essential tool for validating complex projects, optimizing traffic signal configurations, and assessing transport infrastructure performance.
Practical applications
We use microsimulation to design complex intersections, evaluate public transport interfaces, optimize signal cycles, analyze emergency evacuations, and test innovative mobility solutions. The models allow visualizing future operations and identifying problems before construction.
Pedestrian modeling
With VISWALK, we simulate pedestrian movement in metro stations, airports, shopping centers, and events. We analyze service levels, travel times, congestion points, and evacuation capacity, ensuring safe and functional spaces.
Software and certification
ENGIMIND is a certified trainer by PTV Group in VISSIM, VISWALK, and VISUM software. Our experience covers projects in Portugal, Brazil, Angola, and India, including BRT systems, airports, and metro-rail networks.
